My friend emailed me
this popcorn recipe from The Curvy Carrot on Friday
just in time for my movie weekend with the hubby. How did she know I was tired of the same old butter and salt routine? Her quote..."our popcorn love is just in sync with each other." That it is.

I finally took a picture |
I didn't take any pictures and frankly, it wasn't quite as attractive as that other gal's popcorn and I was ready for some spicy, tangy popcorn and
Footloose. Yes, that's right, it was 80s dance movie weekend at the house. Shawn saw
Dirty Dancing the night before for the FIRST time and while we made it a drinking game, he still proclaimed it to be one of the worst movies he's seen in recent history. The funniest part of this whole weekend, though, was that he was actually comparing and contrasting the two movies all evening on Saturday. As if
Footloose is SO much better (it is), but it was just humorous to witness the commentary and bit of outrage over the fact that basically, there is close to no plot to
Dirty Dancing. My point back to him...if it was 1987 and you were a little girl watching this movie (probably a little risque, come to think of it), wouldn't be you crazy for it? Yeah, I thought so.
But I digress...this popcorn is EPIC. I opted to not use a ranch seasoning packet, as is mentioned in the other recipe because, well, I'm like that. But if that's what you've got, go for it.
If you have an air popper, like we do, it's easy to make the topping as it's popping.
Ingredients
1 Tbls Sriracha (or more if you like it spicy!)
2-3 Tbls unsalted butter
1/2 tsp salt (or more to taste)
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp dried dill
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Melt butter and stir in Sriracha. When popcorn is done popping, sprinkle over popcorn and toss. Sprinkle dry ingredients and toss.
You may think it's stupid to have instructions on how to make this. It's not. I added my dry ingredients to the butter mixture...hence why I have no pretty pictures to share. Enjoy!
That must have been FUN! Popcorn sound yummy too!
